The operation was successful

Greta came home from school yesterday and asked me to check and see if I thought her front tooth was ready to be pulled:

She was a bit nervous about having it pulled for two reasons. Reason #1–there was a wee fainting incident a while back involving an attempt to remove a loose tooth that was not loose enough. Reason #2:–“Daddy always does it!”

This tooth looked like it was going to come dislodged in her next bite of banana, let alone apple, that I insisted it go the way of the dodo. It took a fair amount of hand holding and reassuring and one good yank.
